About Me

I’m Dan Mall, a creative director & advisor from Philadelphia; an enthralled husband and dad; founder & Director of SuperFriendly; and co-founder of Typedia, The Businessology Show, No Chains, and swfIR. I was formerly Design Director at Big Spaceship, Interactive Director at Happy Cog, a technical editor for A List Apart, and singer/keyboard player for contemporary-Christian band Four24. I write about design and other issues on Twitter and right here on this site.

Dig Deeper

I take pride in my ability to articulate and communicate ideas. I’ve written for notable publications like A List Apart and .NET Magazine. Right at home in front of a number of audiences, I’ve led client meetings, training sessions and workshops, and presentations to large groups at conferences like SXSW, An Event Apart, and Future of Web Design. Most recently, I’ve taught advertising at the Miami Ad School, web and graphic design at the University of the Arts, and Flash at the School of Visual Arts.

Having worked with clients like Google, Lucasfilm, Microsoft, GE, Wrigley, The Mozilla Foundation, Thomson Reuters, and The Sherwin-Williams Company, I have a passion for playing matchmaker between surprising art direction and intuitive interaction design.
