American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science

Science for the Benefit of Humanity

My first project at Big Spaceship, I was brought in to help lead this website redesign. Representing a global institute based in Israel, the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science is a place where the brightest minds can collaborate.

The Institute’s research has led to breakthroughs in alternative energy, world hunger, education, and much more. Rather than speaking science jargon to scientists, the concept for the site was to celebrate the great things the Institute enables to make the world a better place.

I designed an attractive, flexible framework for the Weizmann team to easily publish on a regular basis. I also designed a custom content management system that integrates an events calendar, a ticketing system, and article archives into one place. These new tools now empower the Weizmann Institute to tell the world about all the great things they’re able to create.
